About Us |

Raccoon Ford Christian Fellowship (RFCF) is a regional church
whose families live in Albemarle, Greene, Madison, Orange, Culpeper, Spotsylvania, and Louisa Counties. Chances are good that we have members in your neighborhood. We are a family-oriented church with a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds. The church has 200 very active members and successfully bridges five generations. The congregation was formally established on Easter Sunday in 1979. Pat Bopp is our third pastor and has served in his position since January of 1995. RFCF is a non-denominational charismatic church which has a strong emphasis in renewal. Sunday services offer contemporary worship, Spirit-empowered preaching, and prayer for personal needs. We believe in the present day operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, prayer for the sick and deliverance from evil spirits (Statement of Faith). We are also involved in local evangelism and foreign outreach in Haiti, Mexico, Kenya, and the United Kingdom.
Raccoon Ford Christian Fellowship seeks to equip it's members for the work
in the church and in the market place (Ephesians 4:11-12).
Through prayer ministry many have been healed from ailments such
as back and neck pain, arthritis, prostate cancer, abdomen
cancer, brain tumors, diabetes, double and blurred vision, panic
attacks, life-long lactose intolerance, depression, and rotator
cuff injuries. Members of our prayer team have also
successfully prayed for the deaf and blind. In one of our
house group meetings a member of the community had a large mass
disappear after prayer. The doctor told her that it was a
miracle. We agreed! There is a strong emphasis on
the activity of the Holy Spirit in the Sunday morning worship
service and more often than not, someone is healed – twenty
were healed in a recent service. We also offer prayer for
the sick for those in our community who cannot come to the church.
We have the kind of youth every church would love to have. They actively participate in the services by leading the worship, praying for the sick, preaching sermons and leading special events designed just for youth in the community. They have a high degree of spiritual insight, passion for God, and hunger for His Word.
They also have a genuine love and respect for their parents and for those who lead the church. Programs for children include a graded Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Royal Rangers – a mid week Christian scouting program. Middle and
high school students are invited to attend Sunday School,
bi-weekly house groups, annual work camps, foreign mission
trips, and weekend retreats or conferences. High School
students are given an opportunity to participate in our youth
worship team. Rising juniors and seniors may apply for
involvements with the Adult worship team.
Ministry opportunities for adults include but are not limited to regional house groups , Sunday school, adult worship team, prayer ministry team, ministry for seniors, local outreach/evangelism and foreign mission trips. Those who come to the church are assisted in finding an avenue of service which corresponds with their God-given desires, spiritual gifts and calling. Much time and attention is given by the staff and members to newcomers. We want to make the transition into Raccoon Ford as smooth as possible. |
